I’ve always been a bit of an oddity in the art world: A Problem-Solving Creative.

I’m what you might call a multipassionate individual. With degrees in photojournalism and international relations, I’ve bounced from job to job: project manager, operations manager, professional pet sitter (true story!), photographer, photography consultant, and small business owner. Nearly 20 years into my career and I finally uncovered my true zone of genius.

Problem Solving.

I realised that with every job I’ve held, I was always looking for business solutions to keep me productive without burning out. Whether it be developing an easy-to-manage inbox system, building a CRM system to manage clients, implementing a marketing plan or simply forecasting cash-flow so I know I can pay myself in the quiet months, my brain is wired to keep things organised, efficient and, above all, simple. Because I’ve got a life to live. I have even been voted “Problem Solver of the Year” by colleagues. TWICE.

As a freelance artist, I realised not every creative business owner has this super power. In fact many of my peers are in the weeds juggling creating with managing the day-to-day of running a business. And that is where I come in.
